Kersey Park is shrinking
We all thought we were purchasing properties that adjoined an expansive central park with a small commercial hub off to one side. Not to mention a fantastic view of the Southern Alps like the one in the site banner.
Here’s how it was advertised:

But now the developer is proposing something quite different:

The commercial hub has more than doubled in size. Half of what’s left as parkland (8) is ‘open green space for future development’. In other words, it’s green space now, but won’t stay that way in the future. That leaves a park that’s about a quarter the size envisioned when we purchased. The expanded commercial hub will likely mean we lose our view of the Alps, and will certainly mean more traffic along Kersey Avenue.
If you’re a property owner in the Kersey Park development and (like us) you’re not happy with how this is panning out, click the ‘Join us’ button below to join the Kersey Park Community website. You’ll gain access to the members-only section where we are organising a group response to the developer.
